Ethan & Patti Owens opened Southwest Virginia’s first and only Natural Wellness and Athlete Recovery lounge! We are the first in the area to offer our services, including Cryotherapy, Red Light Therapy and Salt Therapy. Wholy Restore Wellness is a new state-of-the-art facility wellness lounge that offers multiple innovative treatments and technologies, which are truly all natural and non-invasive. Our passion is educating the community on the benefits of natural wellness, helping others achieve optimal wellness to Wholy Restore and establishing a presence for the wonderful wellness therapies and technology that we are able to offer. Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality natural wellness options. We believe in utilizing natural health and wellness to empower oneself to look and feel their best, and to enhance athlete performance and recovery by promoting and offering a healthier natural lifestyle. We’re dedicated to achieving the best possible results for each individual to WHOLY RESTORE their bodies. 

We are the proud parents of three amazing kids who were raised on holistic and natural practices, including all of the services we offer. We live the holistic lifestyle and know firsthand the amazing benefits our services offer, both for maintenance and recovery, physically and mentally. Our services are not only for athletes as we utilize them for ourselves and our kids’ general health and well-being. But, from an athletic perspective, we have a daughter who was a double gold medalist elite figure skater for US Figure Skating and a son who played football at the University of Virginia at Wise and was also an amateur boxer, so we have been through injuries, procedures and surgeries with them. We are grateful to now be able to offer access to these services which provided our kids with expedited recoveries without pharmaceuticals, as well as preventative measures. We are fortunate and very excited that we have been able to bring to our rural area what’s only before been offered in the big cities! 

Ethan Owens is originally from Haysi, Virginia. He holds a degree in Physical Education with a teacher certification from the University of Virginia at Wise. Coach O, as he is well known, is a high school varsity football coach of 18 years. Patti introduced him to cryotherapy and red light therapy, and they quickly became a favorite, though sauna still remains one of his personal favorites. He has lived a natural lifestyle for many years, incorporating the services we offer, and found much success in its healing and preventing powers.

Patti Slemp Owens grew up on a farm in Pound, VA and utilized natural remedies for her athletic injuries and wellness. She has always had a passion for natural living and helping others and has over 20 years of experience in the wellness industry. Patti holds a degree in Natural Sciences from Northwestern State University and certifications in whole body cryotherapy and local cryotherapy, both orthopedic and aesthetic. She is very passionate about sharing her knowledge gained over the years through research and hands on experience. She wholeheartedly believes in the holistic approach to Wholy Restore the way God created and intended. While residing in the DC Metro, East and Middle TN areas, she gained much experience learning from top sports chiropractors and orthopedic doctors, including those who treated the Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals, Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Vanderbilt and University of Tennessee athletes and she has over 15 years of experience working with athletes. Patti dreamed of bringing these opportunities to the people of SWVA and feels it is such a blessing to have opened the doors of possibilities for others to experience the amazing benefits of natural living and athlete recovery. Wholy Restore Wellness is truly her passion to help others live happier healthier lives, and to assist athletes' performance and success, naturally.

Lastly, we couldn’t do it without our kids’ love and support, who believe in Wholy Restore as much as we do. It’s truly a FAMILY passion and they each play a major role. Our oldest son, Matthew, who assists with the business side of things, graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree and is now studying towards a master's degree. Our daughter, Madisyn, who assists with our marketing and social media, graduated from ETSU with her bachelor's degree and is currently studying towards a master's degree to become a Registered Dietician. Our youngest son, Mason, recently enlisted in the United States Army after attending UVA-Wise and playing for the Cavalier football team.
